NDT TRAINING & CERTIFICATION COURSE– PHASED ARRAY ULTRASONIC ATESTING – LEVEL-II
To provide a basic knowledge of PAUT to enable a participant to carryout tests according to an established procedure under the supervision of a level II. The course is especially designed to provide a sound theoretical knowledge and practical skill forPA UT required for a Level II (2) technician.
A certifiedPAUT Level II (2) personnel are qualified:
- As per PCN Certification Scheme provided by The British Institute of Non Destructive Testing under British Standards.
- Capable of making Proper Scan Plan and checking the Weld Coverage Area.
- Capable to scan the Part and Detect the Defects.
- Have knowledge of the scope and limitations of PAUT
- Prepare test report for i. Accept ii. Reject iii. Rework.
- Responsible for care and maintenance of the NDT/PAUT equipment

PAUT Level-II Practical Training:
- Machine Familiarization.
- Making of Scan Plan for the Part Being Inspected.
- Implementing of Scan Plan Parameters in the Machine
- Doing Calibration.
- Drawing of TCG.
- Pre-Scan Settings
- Scanning and Recording the Data.
- Interpretation
- Reporting the Test Results.
Training Hours:Total 120 Hours
Examination:
Specific Theory Exam : 30 Multi Choice -- 2 hours
Practical Exam : 3 Plates -- 7 hours
Written Instruction : Narrative -- 2 hours
Interpretation : Narrative -- 6 hours
