IOSH WORKING SAFELY COURSE
Everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must 'work safely'. Working safely is a one-day course for people at any -r\ level, in any sector, needing a grounding of health and safety. It focuses on why health and safety is important, and how you can make a real difference to the wellbeing of yourself and others through changing your behaviour.
It focuses on best practice rather than legislation, its suitable for delegates from around the world.
The course is a 100% match to the Health and Safety Executive's 'Passport' syllabus.
Working safely is recognised as an equivalent to a level 1 award in health and safety in a construction environment. This means that delegates who successfully complete it can apply for a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) green Labourer card once they've passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Operatives Test.
This course aims to give candidates a basic understanding of the essentials of Health and Safety in the workplace. The course is delivered as presen-tations, discussion and group working, and is assessed in order to provide a nationally recognised qualification from IOSH.
The programme comprises 5 modules
FIVE INTERACTIVE MODULES:
1. Introducing working safely
2. Defining hazard and risk
3. Identifying common hazards
4. Improving safety performance
5. Protecting our environment
COURSE DURATION : 1 Day At the end of the training participants will:
• Understand why they must work safely.
• Understand the difference between hazards It risks.
• Understand identification.
• Appreciate and improve upon safety performance within the workplace.
• Hold a CSCS recognised health It safety certification.
END OF COURSE ASSESSMENTS:
1. A 10 question, multiple-choice assessment paper (15 mins) 2. Three hazard spotting exercises (15 mins) When you pass, you'll be awarded an IOSH Working safely certificate or a credit card-sized IOSH passport card. |
